At Blessed Lactation Services, our mission is to provide compassionate and professional evidence-based lactation support to new mothers and their families. We believe in empowering women to make informed decisions about their breastfeeding journey.
Vanessa is a master's-prepared registered nurse and international board certified lactation consultant with over 15 years of experience. She is passionate about helping new mothers achieve their feeding goals and believes in providing the hightest level of care.
We offer a range of services to support new mothers, including one-on-one in-home or telemedicine consultations (HIPAA-Compliant). Our certified lactation consultant is available to answer any questions or concerns you may have. Some of the topics included are:
"Vanessa came recommended by the nurses at St. David's North hospital. She does at home visits and I was able to use my insurance for our session. She showed up to our appointment right on time and was very patient with all my questions. She is knowledgable and makes you feel comfortable. I would recommend her to others and am booking additional appointments with her to continue my breastfeeding journey." - Amanda, 2025
"Vanessa is heaven sent. Til this day I’m unsure how I came across her website, but grateful I did. She worked with me prenatal and once baby arrived. She showed me how to give myself grace and in time my supply would establish. After almost hemorrhaging, it’s what I needed when my supply stalled. I’m starting to make just enough and that’s all that matters. Thanks, Vanessa. You’re amazing!" - Janae, 2025
I work with The Lactation Network (TLN) and Wildflower Health (Cigna) to provide consults with no out-of-pocket charge to families. The Lactation Network will cover specific insurance plans only (Aetna, First Health, First Choice Health, Imagine Health, Meritain, Multiplan, PNOA, Sutter Health, UHC, UMR, All Savers, Oxford Health Plan, Surest, and Velocity PPO).
If your insurance will not cover then, a superbill will be provided to you to submit to insurance for reimbursement.

Follow-up visits are for established clients only and range from 60-90 minutes. These visits are to check in on progress and update plans as needed.

Prenatal consults are 60 minutes and can be done in-home, office, or virtually. Back to work consults are 60 min and can be done in-home, office, or virtually. This consult is to help manage breastfeeding while transitioning back to work. We will help you devise a customized pumping and feeding plan to help prepare for this next step in your journey.
This is for mothers who are adding in pumping to their breastfeeding journey or for those who are exclusively pumping. This consult can help with creating a pumping schedule, increasing supply (if needed), and ensure correct milk storage and handling, We will also review paced bottle feeding techniques, proper feeding amounts, and ensure you are using the correct flange size.
